From 1989 - 1997 Sensei represented NSW in tournaments across Australia in the heavy weight division and in the free form Karta. In 1991 he represented Australia in the World titles held in Queensland at the commonwealth games complex.   

 

During this time he was also a bodyguard to many people working in the music industry, and assisted with hand to hand self-defence for the NSW Police (Highway Patrol).
 
Sensei has worked in disability employment, assisting people to find part time or full time jobs within the community. These clients had a range of physical disability's or mental health issues. Sensei Steve has basic mental health training which assisted in this process helping people with ie: depression, anxiety, autism, OCD, ADHD ect.
 
With this extensive background Sensei was asked to work with in the education system on the Central Coast.  Here he worked with high school students aged 12 - 18 as a teachers aid special. This meant assisting students with their education, discipline and behaviour issue's. Through this he helped implement a program that was rolled out in the education system at that time called ‘Rock and Water’
 
Over the past year's Sensei Steve has seen a need in the community for a program to help young people, aged from 12-18, to cope better with today's fast pace society.  


Over the last year, he has been sourcing organisations to come on board his six week ‘Modern Warrior Program' as guest speakers. The program has been welcomed with open arm's by every organisation he has approached.

Sensei Steve grew up in country NSW and now lives on the Central Coast of NSW. He is a full time single parent to his two boy’s.
 
Sensei's background started with boxing from an early age with the Police Boy's Club.  In 1988 he commenced martial arts training and received his first dan black belt in 1991. Sensei instructed in excess of 200 students a week running classes through out Central NSW.
